1.     Why an expensive metal like titanium for a putter

Titanium is the only metal that has the right weight density to create the CP Series putters. Steel is too heavy and aluminum is too light. Titanium when combined with our Wolfram 90 face insert gives the putter a balance that golfers have never experienced from designs in the past.

2.     What is Wolfram 90?

Wolfram 90 is a very special Tungsten Alloy that has a very high weight concentration in a very small area. This metal combined with titanium allows the weight mass to be placed directly onto the golf ball at impact.

3. Most other companies are making soft Plastic Insert inserts. Why is DeLaCruz making metal inserts?

Soft inserts came about due to golf balls becoming extremely hard. So putter designers put soft inserts in putters to dampen the harsh feel. However, now golf ball technology has advanced to the point where solid balls can have soft covers. So if you have two soft surfaces contacting each other (a soft covered ball and a soft insert) the friction is increased. If you do not hit the soft insert squarely in the middle in your putter these surfaces will create an inconsistent spin on the ball which could cause the ball to spin away from the hole.

DeLaCruz has created a super hard face putter with the Wolfram mirrored finish metal. This super hard Wolfram does not grab the face at impact and the ball therefore is passive when the it leaves the putter face.

 4.     With a light titanium body with more mass behind the ball, doesn't that defeat the purpose of heel toe weighting?

Our Bolero putter is a heel toe weighted design which further displaces the weight by removing the stainless steel mass in the center and replacing it with the light weight Micro Alloy

The CP putter which is the first milled titanium blade putter utilizes a totally different theory of physics. CP stands for Center of Percussion which is the sweet spot. All the mass of the putter is concentrated directly behind the ball. Just hit on the shinny stuff

5.     Why is milling better than casting?

Cast putter is poured into a mold and then the part is finished to shape by hand. With hand finishing, many errors can be made by the person doing the hand shaping.

But a milled putter is precisely machined by computer which eliminates human error.

6.     Can I get the putter up to 2 degrees flat or 2 degrees upright?

Yes, this is what we consider a special order and will need to be done in our custom department. Usual return time is 2-4 week.

7.     Can I get different lofts?

No, all of our lofts are preset at optimum.

8.     Can I order the putter in a longer or shorter length than standard offerings?

Yes, this is what we consider a special order and will need to be done in our custom depart. Usual return time is 2-4 week

9.  Can I get a custom grip?
